Part of Outwell's Superior Air Collection, the Lakeville 5SA is a three-room tunnel tent that offer three zones for flexible camping for active campers and families.
The Ambassador Master Bedroom offers generous floor space with a depth of 230cm and full standing height for comfort, easy access and mobility. Extra levels of comfort include mains cable entry points for power and darkened roof panel and sides to reduce light penetration and improve sleep quality by allowing you to sleep longer, have that lie-in or prevent young campers waking up at sunrise. New for 2020, this tent features Quick & Quiet inner doors to enable you to leave and enter the bedroom without fuss. The silent magnetic strip closure down the centre can be parted easily to slip through and will close automatically without a sound - avoiding the unwelcome sound of zips in the middle of the night. For added safety and preference, the magnetic closure is backed by a zipper.
A zipped in bedroom divider can be rolled away to create one large bedroom and for flexible access and privacy, one half of the door can be rolled away to the side or both doors can be fully opened to the middle to create a open, spacious bedroom. Rather than the industry standard of 60cm width per person for sleeping compartments, Outwell Sleep Comfort allows 70-80cm for more freedom and suggest that 4 people can settle down comfortably for a great night's sleep.
New for 2020, Outwell have introduced a HookTrack System that enables campers to safely and easily hang lighting and other items in their tents. It consists of durable, sturdy transparent piping on selected air tubes and 10 reliable clip hooks. Offering flexible positioning options, this system enables wires for lighting and other electrical devices to be routed securely out of the way and allows lights to be positioned where needed. Combined with the Outwell Tent Hanging System, horizontal lines can be rigged up to hang light items such as tea towels. With a maximum load of 1.5kg, this system adds a new dimension in tent living.
The Gothic style, Power Air System air tubes with its steep sides provide great headroom and interior space. Inflated and deflated separately via easy access external valves, additional internal bracer tubes are inflated and attached separately for greater stability.
Made from Outtex® 6000 Pro, the dark blue flysheet with its light, warm-toned roof to create a bright, cheerful internal ambience. This super strong and durable quality polyester is perfect for all year round camping and the PU-coating provides a 6,000mm hydrostatic head.
The large, Panorama front door enables you to enjoy close-to-nature experiences by providing a veranda feel and unhampered access to the outside. It features heavy duty, double zip sliders that allow for different door configurations for access, ventilation and family life. While enhancing the tent's light, airy ambience, a second double zipped mesh door provides insect-free ventilation without compromising on view, comfort and safety.
The three zones provide a wet room at the front for storage, or dining in the shade while enjoying the outside. This front section also features a detachable bathtub-style groundsheet, making it perfect to store wet gear or when you want to extend your living area. A separate dry living room with two additional side entry doors (one with a Rain Safe canopy) and a bedroom make this tent perfect for active campers. Many large tinted windows on the sides and front not only provide panoramic views but brings the outside in and zip up curtains on the inside of the tent offer full flexibility of choice between total privacy, letting in some daylight or enjoying the views.
Mesh backed ventilation panels below the large window and at the rear of the tent (which can be zipped shut) helps to regulate internal temperature, provide a fresh airflow and remove moisture which accumulates as you sleep, boil that kettle or due to the weather. Mesh panels on the two side doors also allow for insect free ventilation.
The new, upgraded Outwell Cyclone Tent Pump for 2020 features a red bung that turns the pump from a double action to a single. The double action pumps up the tent on the downward and upward motion, while the single only inflates on the downward. This is perfect for when you are getting tired or for those less able.
Comfort isn't compromised with the sealed-in groundsheet in the living area, designed to keep out draughts, insects, dirt and water from the tent and cable entry points enables secure access to power without compromising on safety. Colour coded pegging system allows the correct pegs to be quickly chosen for fast pitching and ensures guylines and pegs can be seen, even in the dark.
For added comfort, an additional Footprint can be pitched first to help you pitch your tent in the correct spot first time and prevent the underside getting dirty or wet, or the addition of a Flat Woven Carpet provides under foot comfort and warmth.
